Heather Warren

Life doesn't always present us with clear answers. Relationships become strained.
Questions about identity emerge. Anxiety, uncertainty, and self-doubt can quietly begin to shape the way we see ourselves and those around us.
I'm interested in helping people navigate these moments with greater clarity and intention—not by telling them who they should become, but by creating conversations that help them reconnect with the values, relationships, and ways of living that matter most to them.
I work with adolescents and adults, particularly those navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, and the often-unspoken expectations that come from family, culture, and society. I also enjoy working with parents and teenagers as they find new ways of understanding one another during seasons of change.
What is it like to work with me?
Clients often describe me as collaborative, steady, and deeply engaged in the conversations we share.
I don't see therapy as fixing people or solving problems as quickly as possible. Rather, I see it as a place where we can slow down together, make sense of life's complexities, and discover new possibilities that may have become difficult to see.
Many of the struggles we experience arise when one story about ourselves or our lives becomes so dominant that it leaves little room for anything else. Together, we explore those stories with curiosity, while remaining attentive to the values, commitments, and hopes that continue to shape your life—even when they have become difficult to recognize.
I believe people already carry many of the resources they need. My role is to help create conversations where those resources become more visible and where your own sense of direction can become clearer.

About Heather
My work is grounded in contemporary narrative and contextual therapy, with a particular interest in how relationships, culture, and the stories we inherit shape our lives.
I earned my PhD in Marital and Family Therapy in May 2026, with a research focus on gender identity through a feminist and queer theory lens. This work continues to deepen my understanding of power, belonging, and the many ways people make meaning of their lives and relationships.
Whether you are facing a particular challenge or simply longing to understand yourself and your relationships more deeply, I would be honoured to join you in that conversation.
