About the event

The most powerful therapeutic technique I know is that of rich story development," Michael White said. Over the course of two days, we will show contemporary Narrative therapy in action from the midst of our own practice. Based largely on our soon to be released book "So you want to do narrative therapy?" we will highlight ideas and practices that seek to return stories and story work to their rightful place at the center of narrative practice. We will engage participants in a lively mix of theory and practice (interviews, transcripts, therapeutic documents) to show you where a concentrated focus of attention on stories can take you.

Presenters:

Sanni Paljakka- is the Clinical Director of the Calgary Narrative Collective, a dedicated feminist narrative therapy agency.

Tom Carlson- is a professor and branch director at the Couple and Family Therapy Program at Alliant International University- San Diego Campus.

When: Friday July 5th from 1:00 - 5:00pm and Saturday July 6th from 10:00 -5:00pm

Where: Alliant International University, 10455 Pomerado Rd.

CEUs will be provided
