Contemporary Narrative Therapy Conference

Join us for the 1st Annual Conference on Contemporary Narrative Therapy. The conference theme this year is "Contemporary Narrative Therapy for Contemporary Problems." Presentations will highlight ways that narrative therapy ideas need to be reimagined to better address the challenges that clients and therapists face in our contemporary neoliberal climate that prizes labels over stories and medicalized and unitary understandings of problems over personal, historical, and political context. The conference will open with a keynote address by David Epston on Thursday November 7th at 4pm. David will articulate his call for the need for a reimagined or contemporary narrative therapy in our current times. A social for all conference goers with drinks and light snacks will follow.

Days two and three will highlight the work of Travis Heath, Navid Zamani, Sanni Paljakka and Tom Carlson outlining the unique ways that they have taken up the call to reimagine narrative therapy.…
